The Three Energies Within Us
In Chinese tradition, it is said that three forms of energy live within the human body.
The first is Daily Energy; the vitality that carries us through everyday life, helping us walk, speak, think clearly, and meet each moment with presence. The second is Organ Energy, which supports the health and balance of our vital organs. It is the steady internal force that keeps the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, and kidneys functioning smoothly. The third is Deep Life Energy (Jing); the original “battery” we are born with. Precious and not easily renewed, it is considered the foundation of longevity and inner strength.
When we experience stress or fatigue, the body first consumes our daily energy. If this continues, it begins to draw power from the organs, and when that too becomes depleted, we touch the deepest layer of our life force, the Jing.
Through Qigong, we learn to protect this essential energy. We calm the body, soften the mind, and breathe in a way that nourishes rather than drains us. Over time, the practice helps restore clarity and focus, ease tension and emotional overwhelm, support digestion, sleep, and hormonal balance, strengthen the immune system, and cultivate a sense of vitality that feels steady and grounded.
Little by little, Qigong guides us back to a more natural rhythm, one where energy flows freely, the body feels supported, and the mind returns to a quiet, spacious place.
